I’m Under Your Spell! {WSC347}

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!

It’s time for a new MFT Sketch Challenge! This week, we are up to WSC347, and it’s a super fun sketch!

Print

I’ve used the GORGEOUS new Witch Way Is The Candy? and Witch Way Is The Candy? Die-namics, just re-released from MFT! I just LOVE her and am SO glad she is back!! I cut her, the moon and clouds, and the bat from X-Press It Blending Card using the Witch Way Is The Candy? Die-namics and then stamped them all using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink with Witch Way Is The Candy? I colored them all with Copic Markers and then put them to the side. The sentiment panel was cut from Smooth White Card Stock using the Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics. I stamped “I’m Under Your Spell” from Witch Way Is the Candy? using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.

The main panel is Smooth White Card Stock cut with Blueprints 13 Die-namics, and I used the English Brick Wall Stencil and sponged on Iced Spruce Distress Oxide Ink. I cut the panel using the Stitched Dome Frames Die-namics, and then used them again to cut a panel of Steel Grey Card Stock for the window “frame”. I created the starry night sky by sponging a panel of Smooth White Card Stock using Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink, Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink. I then sponged the entire panel using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink, sprayed water on the panel and watched the magic happen! I added the moon and clouds to the sky and then arranged the witch, bat and sentiment panel, popping them all up with Foam Tape.

August MFT Creative Construction With Blueprints!

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!

It’s time for the August MFT Creative Construction With Blueprints Feature! This month, we are challenging you to create a card with a surprise element using Blueprints Die-namics! SO fun!

Print

For my card, I’ve used Blueprints 28 Die-namics, and I created a card for my baby’s 7th Birthday, coming up in September! She is a mermaid loving gal, so I had to make a mermaid surprise card for her! I started with a panel of Smooth White Card Stock cut with Blueprints 28 Die-namics. I then taped down the panel and using the Cascading Scallop Stencil, sponged on Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Ink, Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink, Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink and Wild Honey Distress Oxide Ink. I removed the stencil and then tapped on some sparkle spray for shimmery dots.

The banner was cut from Smooth White Card Stock using Blueprints 28 Die-namics, and I stamped “Happy Birthday To You” from Pure Innocence Happy Birthday To You using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink. The star was cut from Pineapple Prestige Card Stock using the Inside & Out Stitched Stars Die-namics. I cut a “7” from Tropical Teal Prestige Card Stock using the Little Numbers Die-namics, and the heart was cut from Grape Jelly Card Stock using Blueprints 32 Die-namics. I coated the “7” and the heart with a Clear Wink of Stella Brush Marker to make them shimmery. I attached the banner and the star, “7” and heart to the flap of the card.

Print

On the inside, I added a panel of Sour Apple Card Stock, which I added shimmer spray to to make it shimmer. I then stamped different sea grass from Mermazing using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink. This sweet little mermaid was cut from X-Press It Blending Card using the Mermazing Die-namics, and I stamped her using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink using Mermazing, I colored her with Copic Markers and then added glitter to her tail and top. LOVE how sparkly she is!

Bewitching Halloween Wishes! {WSC346}

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!

It’s time for a new MFT Sketch Challenge, and I am LOVING this week’s sketch for WSC346

Print

I am IN LOVE with the darling new Happy Haunting set, and I cannot get enough of this little witch! I cut her, and her trick or treat bag, from X-Press It Blending Card using the Happy Haunting Die-namics, and I stamped her with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink using Happy Haunting. I colored her and her bag with Copic Markers, and then popped them up with Foam Tape onto a panel of Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics. The rounded rectangle panel was cut from Smooth White Card Stock using the Stitched Rounded Rectangle STAX Die-namics, and I sponged on a cloudy sky using Periwinkle Premium Dye Ink and the Mini Cloud Edges Stencil. LOVE.

I cut a strip of patterned paper from the Party Patterns Paper Pack with the Stitched Rounded STAX Die-namics, trimmed it down and added it to the cloud panel. I wrapped the panel with Hemp Cord and then added a bow of Hemp Cord. I stamped “bewitching halloween wishes” from Happy Haunting using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink. The bats are from the new Fab-BOO-lous Friends set and I stamped them using Gravel Gray Premium Dye Ink. The entire panel was layered onto a panel of Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock, cut with Blueprints 13 Die-namics, and stamped using the Lined Up Dots Background using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.

OK. I am aware that I have three cards in a row now using the GORGEOUS new Written In The Stars set and Shining Stars Die-namics! I just CANNOT stop using these fabulous new products! It’s also no secret that I am OBSESSED with creating backgrounds. I was amazed by a GORGEOUS background Amy Rysavy recently created using Gansai Tambi Watercolors and I just had to try it myself!

I started with a panel of Ranger Watercolor Paper and cut it with Blueprints 1 Die-namics. I then created the background using Gansai Tambi Watercolors. LOVE this fun galaxy look! I then die-cut “stars” four times from Smooth White Card Stock using the Shining Stars Die-namics, and then layered them together. I added the layered die-cut to the galaxy background, and added a trio of stars, cut from Silver Sparkle Card Stock, also using the Shining Stars Die-namics. I stamped “OH MY” from Written In The Stars onto a panel of Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock using Versamark Ink and then heat embossed it with White Detail Embossing Powder. I trimmed it down and added it to the card using Foam Tape.
